Faisalabad: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has given in-principle approval to build Pakistan's largest expo center in Faisalabad
After the approval of the Punjab Chief Minister, a state-of-the-art Expo Center of Pakistan will be set up in Faisalabad for the convenience of industrialists and foreign investors.
Usman Bazdar announced that an expo center would also be set up in Sialkot city. He said that a surgical city would be set up in Sialkot to boost exports.
The Chief Minister disclosed further plans that the provincial government would soon start work on the Aqua Park project in Chunian. Government facilitation centers are playing a key role in helping investors.
He welcomed investors for showing interest in investing in special economic zones.
These decisions were taken at a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Usman Bazdar to review the progress on special economic zones in Punjab. The Chief Minister said that work was underway on economic zones in Chunian, Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh.
He directed to activate the special economic zones as soon as possible.
Earlier in September 2020, Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Trade and Investment, had said that Common Expo Centers would be set up in four cities of Punjab to promote the industrial sector.
Razzaq Dawood announced that a 'Common Expo Center' would be set up for the cities of Sialkot, Gujarat, Wazirabad and Gujranwala, for which the Punjab government would be approached for allotment of land.
