LAHORE: Security officials of the Australian Cricket Board visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) headquarters here in Lahore to review security arrangements


The three-member Cricket Australia (CA) security delegation was given a detailed briefing on the steps taken to provide VVIP security to the visiting team at PSCA.


The delegation monitored the overall security arrangements made by law enforcement agencies in Lahore with various CCTV cameras.



The Australian delegation expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements in Lahore and other cities where the matches will be played.


A three-member security team had gone to the Interior Ministry for a briefing yesterday and was later taken to Rawalpindi Stadium and Hotel where the team will stay during a tour of the city.


The Australian security team included Benjamin Oliver, Stuart Bailey and Brendan Drew. The team will also visit Karachi and Lahore.


Match schedule

It should be noted that Australia will visit Pakistan for the first time in 24 years in March 2022.


The series will consist of three Tests, three ODIs and a T20. The matches will be played across Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore which will host one Test each. The limited overs league will be held entirely in Lahore.


First Test, Karachi - March 3-7

Second Test, Rawalpindi - March 12-16

Third Test, Lahore - March 21-25

First ODI, Lahore - March 29

Second ODI, Lahore - March 31

Third ODI, Lahore - 2 April

T20I, Lahore - 5 April
